You all know of my addiction to yo yo's and anything that has to do with them.
I parted with my yo yo maker and let my cousin make a couple hundred, even supplied her the fabric. She came up today for a visit, and I asked her to bring the maker back. She's gotten busy and hasn't been making any. Well..........it's lost! As I was "machine" sewing (yes, machine sewing my yo yo's together) half came untied or wasn't tied at all. uggghhhhh
Now, I'm out of made yo yo's and no yo yo maker to use up this stack of fabric ready to be made into yo yo's. I'm having serious yo yo withdrawals. SERIOUSLY! I can drive up to Boone and get one for less than $6.00.......however, tj will be leaving for work soon and I can't drive up there alone right now. What's a girl to do? Guess I'll be scouring Ebay for a new 2" yo yo maker.
NEVER LOAN OUT YOUR YO YO MAKER!!
( I said the words "yo yo" 9 times in this post, lol)
Tonya, your yo-yo quilt is so beautiful. I have a bag full of yo-yo's, but never got to the point to turn them into a quilt. Thanks for the tips!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with getting a new yo yo maker. They are such fun to make.
ReplyDeleteoh rats, I think the 2 inch is the one I use all the time. Can I offer you a heart shaped one?
ReplyDeleteOh boo!!!! I hope you find one soon.
ReplyDeleteTonya have you tried making them yourself? It is really so easy. If I find the tutorial I will send it to you
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your yo-yo maker was lost. I know you loaned it out shortly after you got it and you had such fun using it...what a bummer it was lost. (Me-thinks your cousin owes you a new one!!! LOL)
ReplyDeleteBummer!! Hope she finds it!!
ReplyDeleteI know that just chaps your hide......I am irritated for you but...I have yo you makers..just brought them....yepeee...
ReplyDeleteYOYO's YAH BOO
ReplyDeleteDon't loan out the yo-yo maker. Bummer. How are you feeling?
ReplyDeleteYou kids and your new fangled contraptions! When I was a kid we walked uphill, both ways to fetch a piece of sturdy cardboard, drew and cut out circles of various sizes and made our own fabric yo-yos!
ReplyDelete;)
Hope you figure out a way to cure your withdrawl!
