Apron Pattern

Click on the above picture to see what that is, see who # 46 is.
Apron Pattern and more than a yard of fabric, more coordinating fabric will be needed for trim, but I didn't have anything that went with this. Also, apron states "one size fits all" haha. That never is true for me, so I'm passing this on.
**The generator said 46 I promise, I don't know why it won't keep it in there.**

# 46 and no one knows what that means, right? Well, I was having a bit of a giveaway and didn't tell a soul. How rude right? Yep...I took my last few posts copied all the comments into word and numbered them all. Then random number generator choose #46 out of 51 comments.

These pictures didn't post in the order I wanted, but then again I wasn't going to title this "giveaway winner" as I didn't want anyone to know unless they READ the entire post.

Congrats to Cecelia!!

I used to have your address Cecelia, but can't seem to find it. Please email me with it and I'll get your goodies out. Thanks to all my loyal followers, I love you all!

I love these blocks..

How cute....see that the fabric is variegated.....that all came from the same bolt, same piece of cloth. Strange huh? It makes for some light and darker pieces. I top stitched the triangles onto the white block, when I wash this, those pieces will fray. Making it all the better. Well, I think so. I'm thinking of bordering each block with the same green as the triangles. What cha think? Oh, and what makes it better? It's GREEN! I love me some green!

My two guys...

See their tool belts. They worked in the wood shop today. See picture below for what E made. Sorry the second picture is dark. Maybe you can see it well enough.
(see that snow still laying around)
E got lots of tools for Christmas. All those screwdrivers in that "caddy" he made are his. He's so proud, as am I.

Look what Santa brought us today....

ICE
We still have several inches of snow laying around. I always heard when it sticks around for days, it's waiting on more. I could really do without the ice though. We'll have Christmas at my mom's tomorrow. Guess we're in the house for today.

Snow update.......

We live on top of a mountain, this is the road in front of our house looking down the mountain.
Some of that is a drift, but still alot of snow. The higher mountains in the background are just beautiful.
Yep, 11 1/2"
Compare that little rocking chair to yesterday's post. This is the end result.

It's snowing......

When we went to pick up the car it was already snowing, we drove it straight home. We still have about 16 hours of this storm left.

A "man" bag for E and a PIF gift.

First, the button is really RED. He wanted something to carry his PSP and all his games in. Well, he'll be able to fix his favorite games, all won't fit.
I put 3 big pockets on each side of the bag and sturdy handles.
Here's my PIF gift from Cecelia. I honestly don't remember her owing me anything. She also sent a ornament, and some chocolate. YUM Cecelia was my very first swap partner. She's a super nice lady.

I'm such a dope, I meant to set this to post tomorrow. Oh well....here it is.

Look at what I won.......

I love winning something, it just really makes my day. It makes me feel special. These are fabric scraps I won from Melissa over at Lilac Lane. I love her scraps, because they are huge. That yellow piece on top is several yards and I don't have any fabric like that. I love it.

Melissa also heads up our online quilt group, A Dozen Quilters. Check us out and see what we're up to.

Thanks so much Melissa for this prize and for doing such a great job with A Dozen Quilters!!

Dear Santa Baby......

Your looking so slimming this year. And Mrs. Claus, she's just a beauty. What would make me giddy and fall completely in love with you, well......you know.......MORE in love with you, is if you grant me this wish to have Green Grass Love U from The Fat Quarter Shop. Oh Santa...have you seen the turtles in this collection? Of course you have...cause you "see" everything. You also know my love for turtles Santa. And GREEN, hello Santa, my favorite color. That's like killing two birds with one stone. That's just a saying ya know, I would never do that Santa. You also know I've had a rough year, this would really end it on a nice note and I can start fresh in 2010. Thanks so much for reading my letter and I LOVE U Santa!

What a busy day!

We got so much done today. We finished our Christmas shopping. Normally, we are done by now. However, I think only having one car made it a little harder this year. BUT.........guess what? I found a car today. Oh yes, and it's nothing like I've ever had before. I'm super excited! Yep, a Volkswagen Beetle. I never would have thunk it. We've been looking for something since the day I wrecked, or since the day we found out it was totaled, almost a month. I had a bigger car, so when I even thought about looking at this...I told myself I would not like it and would not be comfortable in it. WOW, was I wrong. It's so roomy inside. I'm a big girl, it's no secret. I always have trouble with the seat belt fitting me. I normally have to order an extension. Well, not in this car, it fits with room to spare. The seat is so comfortable. There's so much head room and leg room. Even the back seat is fine for E. Once he gets to big for the back seat, he can sit in the front. I won't let him set in the front now because of airbags. This isn't the car I'm getting, just a photo from the world wide web. However, mine is red. It had one issue, we told the salesman if he would get that fixed, we would buy the car tomorrow. We didn't offer any money for the man to hold the car, we really didn't think that would be an issue. Well, little did we know, as soon as we left this woman flocked over to it and was all up on it. I hope she decided it wasn't for her. lol When TJ left for work, I asked him to be sure it was still there and to call me as soon as he found out. haha.........It's still there, it's parked in front of the garage now. Good, looks like he's going to fix that problem. Every car I've ever own, the windows have been tinted, weather I've had it done, or it came like that. So, I'll be calling my "window tint man" and setting up an appt. It's my safety. It's what I hide behind. No, I'm not kidding. Let's hope everything goes well, and I drive this car home tomorrow. *HUGS*

Please, don't anyone tell me you have one, and have had years of trouble out of it. lol

Selling like hot cakes....

Yeah, I know you all are sick of hearing about my silly little bags and do dads. Well, they are selling like crazy. No, not on Ebay....No, not on Etsy. My aunt has become my official salesman (woman) for these. She bought a set for her granddaughter for Christmas. She thought she'd take it to work and see if anyone was interested. Well, in two days she got me 5 orders. 5 handbags, 5 wallets, and 5 coin purses. I sell them all separately, unless you want the complete set. Woohoo, my car fund is slowly building. Thanks aunt Kathy, I love so much! No, not because you got me these orders, but it does help. ;)

Poor E can't drink enough of these to keep my business going. I have three other girls saving them for me. Thank goodness, they all have 3-4 kids. One girl lives in Nebraska, she's a family friend. I pay her postage for her to send them for me. The other girl lives in NC, but two hours away. I also pay her postage. Then my sister in law has 3 boys and one on the way, they live right now the road. Oh and let's not forget Jan from the UK, she sends them to me as well. However, she sends other goodies to me. I love that woman!

I really enjoy making these, I've got them down to an art and can get a whole set together in about an hour. Someone asked if sewing these are hard on your needles, I can only assume they are. However, I've only broke one needle making these, so far. My plan is, once I get my new sewing machine, to only make these on my old machine. Good idea huh?

Wanna see my turtles?

Someone, (Barb) said I should show my turtles. Here's a few of my collection...
What a great shot, he thought I was going to feed him. You just walk near the tank and they come up to the glass as close to you as they can.
More are coming to the top....there's 5 in there.

i even have a plant stand turtle, never mind the dust
more on the shelf and behind the stockings is a small turtle quilt
the small ones in front of the tv..
and one that watches over me while i sew..

i do love my turtles, i'll share more later..don't want anyone to get "turtled out". lol

What are these beauties for you ask? These turtle knobs are for my newest quilt hanger. TJ makes all my quilt hangers and has even made some for others. This hanger will be for my turtle quilt I got in a swap. These knobs are silver, I this the picture makes it look a bit gold. Hopefully tomorrow I can show you the quilt hanging on the hanger. I love turtles!

Zippers and an Owl

I've not did much zipper sewing, but I'm about to. I got 100 zippers here. No, I'm not even sure what I'm going to make yet. lol But, I got zippers!

See the Owl? I saw these on Quilting Fiesta's blog the other day. She made loads of them. You can find the tutorial here on Eileen's blog. I got his eyes backwards, the black should have been the center of his eye. haha

More Recycling..

This one is about half the size of the other one. It's 10" in the waist (top) and 13" at the bottom and 5" deep. So cute for a small child. I cut some fabric 2" wide and looped through the belt loops, then just tied a simple knot. Love this one, wished I had a little girl, she would be well stocked. Just another to add to my Etsy store.

It's raining cats and dogs and pigs and horses outside today, so I had to take my picture inside. We might have some snow this weekend. I've got my fingers crossed for it. I love me some snow!!

I'm all about recycling......

Well, for the most part anyways. I saw this in a magazine, or my mom did and tore it out for me, and brings it to me "I bet you could make this". haha So, I went to a second hand store and bought some small girls jeans. Here's the end result. I think this would best suit a young girl. You won't see me carrying this. Just not my style. However, I think it's adorable. What do you all think? I got some blue jeans as well, and some khaki.

Where's Waldo aka Where's E?

His favorite part of fall, and our least favorite.
We really had to keep a close eye on him, he wanted to DIVE in head first. I'm not sure where he thought he would land or what.
Coming up for air.
