PermaLeaf® Product Review

I was contacted to do a product review for PermaLeaf

Click this link to see what I could choose from and all that they have available.

The above picture is what I did with the two Boston ferns I choose.

The picture above and below is what the ferns looked like when they arrived in the shipping box.  They were very well packed and protected, lots of bubble wrap.
I have to say I was a bit disappointed that the pictured planter pots didn't come with the ferns.  I didn't read close enough and was counting on the pots.  They weren't included, and the listing did firmly state so.

Without the pots, I was at a loss what to do with the ferns.  If you know me, you know I'm not a artificial plant fan.  However; this was a great deal and I couldn't pass it up.

I wanted to make a wreath. Then I happened upon another picture kinda like what I made.

I started by cutting each fern off of the bunch.  I bet some of you are cringing that I cut up such a beautiful display of ferns.
The best part is, I have plenty left over for another project.

Then I needed to trim the leaves off each end of the fern.  The handmade basket my dad made is kinda small in the inside and wouldn't accommodate all those leaves.
After trimming each piece, I formed it to drape over the basket, as if it grew like that.  The fern was nice in that it had darker leaves and lighter leaves.  I placed the darker ones on the bottom of the arrangement and the lighter ones on top.

Add a touch of USA and you have the perfect piece for your front door.
A friend mentioned adding some sunflowers.  I believe I will find some and do that.

Close up of the basket my dad made.

Thanks PermaLeaf® for this opportunity!
