Selling like hot cakes....

Yeah, I know you all are sick of hearing about my silly little bags and do dads. Well, they are selling like crazy. No, not on Ebay....No, not on Etsy. My aunt has become my official salesman (woman) for these. She bought a set for her granddaughter for Christmas. She thought she'd take it to work and see if anyone was interested. Well, in two days she got me 5 orders. 5 handbags, 5 wallets, and 5 coin purses. I sell them all separately, unless you want the complete set. Woohoo, my car fund is slowly building. Thanks aunt Kathy, I love so much! No, not because you got me these orders, but it does help. ;)

Poor E can't drink enough of these to keep my business going. I have three other girls saving them for me. Thank goodness, they all have 3-4 kids. One girl lives in Nebraska, she's a family friend. I pay her postage for her to send them for me. The other girl lives in NC, but two hours away. I also pay her postage. Then my sister in law has 3 boys and one on the way, they live right now the road. Oh and let's not forget Jan from the UK, she sends them to me as well. However, she sends other goodies to me. I love that woman!

I really enjoy making these, I've got them down to an art and can get a whole set together in about an hour. Someone asked if sewing these are hard on your needles, I can only assume they are. However, I've only broke one needle making these, so far. My plan is, once I get my new sewing machine, to only make these on my old machine. Good idea huh?

  1. Wowwee! Super terrific! I hope you get a great local business going on these. ANd then Maybe they will want you to make other things too.

I like the idea of only sewing these on the older machine. Actually if you had an old "workhorse" mechanical machine you could use it. They sew tough stuff better and are hard to kill. You may want to check the local thrift stores and see if you can get one for a few dollars. I know your MAN can work on those if they only have minor problems!

  2. Hey, just ask your local friends if anyone they know has an old mechanical machine they want to get out of the way. You would be surprised at what might happen!

  8. I wonder if the company would pay a handsome fee to help promote their product??? Glad they are selling well. I would think a boutique or some quirky little cute store of some sort would like to have a display of these bags.
