Swanky, by MODA
I got a Swanky charm pack while on vacation. I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I cut each charm into 1" strips. I love this fabric, it's all super cute. So, I went to Ebay and found 2 more swanky charm packs. This is the block I've come up with. Now, I'm stuck. I don't know whether to join them all like this, or cut them in half into triangles and them mix-match them. Any ideas anyone?
I really like them like that......of course I just finished a quilt like that. LOL The fabric is just beautiful and I think that pattern shows it off well.

I love it like this, but would love to see what it would look like cut too. Choices! Choices! I love the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteHard to say. I say go with your gut. They look great this way. I will mention that you will lose some size by cutting them into triangles and rejoining. (if that makes a difference to you)
ReplyDeleteThey look really nice as is.
I really like them like they are too. Love the colors. Can't wait to hear what you've decided to do with them.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about to do it what about rail fence block, but what ever you decide lovely fabric

Love the fabrics & the block!!! Glad you were able to find more!
ReplyDeleteI just noticed we have the same saying at the top of the page!
You doing better with hubby working at night?
I love what you have done. Putting those together would make a beautiful quilt. I have always wondered what to do with those charm packs.
ReplyDeleteLovely prints. I think the rail fence layout is perfect for your fabric selection.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a suggestion, but don't you just love that fabric? It's like a painting. I have a chunk of it myself!
ReplyDeleteJust wondering what you ever decided to do with these? I am working on a quilt for my son Cory and it's the rail fence block. I have it over on my blog, if you are interested in seeing mine. I took a white sashing and went around it. I am getting ready to put another round of fabric around it as well. It is done in red, white and blue fabric. I just love it. Will be glad when I'm done with it though. My other boys are hounding me for a quilt now. Cory ask all the time....Mom when are you going to be done with my quilt? I tell him.....well son, I work 40 hours a week, we have karate, church, now basketball....I'll get to it when I get a little more time. Poor kid. I started on it late last year. :-I
ReplyDeleteWas just curious of what you did with the block.
