I've seen these around before. However, it didn't hit me to make one until my friend Debi started making some for her grand daughter. Alot of people, me included wondered what the fascinationwith these blankets are? Well, after doing some research...it seems as if babies love to play with the tags (ribbons) and love the colors or textures if you put different ones on there. They are super easy to make.
This is the first one I made, flannel turtle fabric and green and white ribbons.
I went out on a limb on the second one and attached some embellishments. It's super cute! However, I'm not sure how this would work with babies and younger toddlers.
Well, CUTE!
ReplyDeleteHow did it go with the knee draining (ugh - sounds painful) yesterday?
You are on a roll.....stay off that knee...
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Love this idea!
ReplyDeleteI'd not heard of these, either...makes sense, though, as long as anything is securely attached so it can't come off and end up in the little one's mouth.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea. Babies do love to play touch and taste anything and everything, so I can see how these would be very interesting to them. So, how's the knee?
ReplyDeleteCute little blanket. What size do you make them?
ReplyDeleteit is true...babies love em...I dont think the hangy things are safe though...just cause if they came off........
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea!!!
ReplyDeleteCute but I agree with Melinda make sure the hangy things are really secure.
ReplyDeleteA friend of my DIL made one for my grandson and he loves it. She made the blanket part much smaller. He holds it and rubs the ribbons.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea. I haven't heard of them either. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of adding the little toys. As long as you've sewn them in securely there shouldn't be a problem.
