I think I'll vote no extra border. But it would look good either way.
I like fancy borders but that one seems to be pulling my eye up to the border and away from the nice center of the quilt, so I'd think it's find with no border, too.
sigh, I guess I am different. I like the extra border. You could applique something in the center of the big block area.....
I'm with Gene, but then we thing alike. I go for the extra border.
I like the extra border too. But you know it will look good plain as well.
I like the extra border; it seems to add a little to the quilt. But whichever way you do it, I'm sure it's going to be a delightful quilt.
I like the extra border, but would be happy with either one.
I vote no extra border! I think it's too busy for this one :)
I always have to go against the wind....I say border!!!
I have to go with no border. I too think it's too busy. I think if it was a plain border it would work perfectly. I agree with Pat, it draws you away from the main part of the quilt.
To answer your question - It's actually pine trees! I live near a swampy (but pretty) area, but mostly this area is farmlands and trees. This area is known for 100s of small lakes, but we are not on one!
I like the extra border personally.. love how it adds movement to it. Adds that extra flare.I would add another strip of white around then bind with the other fabric...;-)Lola
Yes to extra border!
I notice most posts say no border but I like it.
I like the extra border!
