Nothing to show.......

i've been completely out of commission
no sewing
no nothing

i started a new medication from my DR and had a terrible reaction to it
after two bad days at home
i dragged myself to the doctor
she sent me straight to the ER
after 5-6 hours of further testing
it was a reaction to the new medication
the dizziness & dehydration is much better today and hopefully all gone by tomorrow
greg gave me till this morning to be back at my machine
(please don't tell him i did not meet that goal)  shhhhhhh

something i saw on tv tonight sparked something in me
if you have grown children, how often do you tell them "i love you"
or
if you are a grown child without children, how often does your mother tell you?
just curious

  1. Oh my. Bummer when you take medicine to feel better, but instead it makes you feel terrible. Please take care of yourself.

  3. Medication reactions can be so difficult. I am glad they figured it out and didn't just start you on something else.

My mom tells me she loves me every time she sees me or calls me. I tell her I love her too.

  6. I hope that nasty medicine has cleared your system and that you are on the road to recovery. I tell my grown daughters that I love them every time I talk to them and some times just text them that simple line "I Love You"

  13. It's not humanly possible to tell anyone you love...that you love them often enough. We could say it every minute of every day...and still not convey it properly. Yes, we could all do better...that's just a human trait.

So sorry you've been down and under the weather...and I'm sending you a Great Big Bear Hug! There, did you feel that! Hoping you are doing better soon.

Take some vitamins, put your feet up, take advantage of this "down time" to read a book and have a cup of tea! Consider it a much needed "me time".

  15. Whew! Glad the ER figured it out. What a bummer.

My kids, 26 and 23, and I say "I love you" at the end of each and every phone call and when we part company in person. We are that way with our closest friends too.

  16. I tell my grown children I love them every time we talk. They live in four different states so most of our communication is either through facebook or phone (I don't like the phone much). This past year we were able to visit with all four of our children and their families and we sure did tell them we love them.

  17. Hope you feel better soon.
    Med reactions are the pits.
Always say I love you to my babes every chance I get along with DH and others I love and adore.
Never be shy about saying those words. They sure mean a lot when someone you love has gone on to heaven.

  18. So-o soorry to hear about this continuing yuckiness! I do hope you begin to feel like your sweet creative self soon.

    We say I love you to our newlyweds, and try to show it in other ways, too. I've even taken to say I love you to some dear friends of mine when we say goodbye, because I do love them! Can you ever say it too much? Do you personally tire of hearing I love you? :-}

Sending prayers for a speedy recovery, pokey

  19. Hopefully you will be better soon. I tell my children 33, 20, 19 everyday that I love them. My mom/dad tell me every time I talk to them that they love me. Its just something we do just like breathing.

  20. Ever since the night of 9/11/01, My daughters and I have said "I love you" at the end of every telephone call or visit. That's three words and one sentance that I never want to wait to tell them "later".

  21. Glad to hear you're up and about again. Those pesky drug reactions can be awful. I always make it a point to tell all of my loved one "I Love You" when I hang up the phone, when I leave them or they leave me. Even if we're having a fight or harsh words. I'm always so afraid something will happen and that will be the last time we'll ever see each other. And I don't want to always regret the fact that we parted ways and didn't express our love for each ohter.
