A name for the New Machine.

Rachel from Not-So-Plain-Jane asked me a very good question the other day. She asked if I'd named my new machine yet. Ya know? I didn't even think of that. The old machine's name was "oh brother". Because every time it acted up, I yelled "oh brother".

This new machine is special and it's a girl. I've had a girl's name picked out for about 10 years. I miscarried a girl when I was 5 months pregnant, and I've always wanted a dog and was going to name her this as well. This is also my grandmother's name. I never got to meet her, she died when my mom was 18. Anywho..........her name is Maggie!

Weird?

Would that be an ok name?

  3. Maggie is a GREAT name!!! Remember I asked for suggestions about my machine's name? Well...guess what? I FORGOT my machine's name. AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH....now I need to look back and find out the name unless someone who reads this remembers it (like Gene....whose mind is very sharp!!! LOL) I know it was a LONG name and then I was going to use part of it for a shorter name, but I'll be darned if I can recall what it was. Good luck with Maggie!!!

  8. Great idea to name your sewing machine, and Maggie is perfect. I always envision Maggie as sweet, complying and agreeable. What more could you ask for of a sewing machine. I'll have to think something up for mine. So far I love "her".

  9. Maggie is a great name! I found my dog on Petfinder. In her photo she looked like a Maggie. Everyone keeps asking isn't that your cousin's(BFF) name? Yep, these two have the same dippy, spacey personality.

  12. OKAY, Tonya...I went back and looked up my sewing machine's name (after I had a contest for my followers to name the machine). That is why it ended up being a LONG name....
    Princess HOPE Cara Lucky Benjiro

BUT...I had decided to call her "HOPE" for short. So I have Hope and you have Maggie. Too bad we don't live close enough for Hope and Maggie and Pat and Tonya to have a play date!!! hehehe
