Mail Call from Australia

So, you all may remember I was a contestant in the Ugly quilt contest on Quilting Gallery. Well,Sue's quilt came in second place. However, it's not ugly at all. I loved it the moment I saw it. I commented on her blog that I could make it a very good home in NC and how much I loved it. Not to long later she asked for my address and today I received the quilt. Oh my.......it looks much better in person. Although, I liked it anyway. Here she tells how and why she made this. Hers is the last quilt and mine is just above it. She also sent some other goodies in my package. Oh how I love this blog land and the wonderful people I've met. You all are so great. I could never have imagined how many wonderful people I would have met.
Isn't it just great!
The center heart.
A recipe book, and a lovely rose card.
What's this you ask? Looks like a mini diploma. It's the label. How awesome!!
The label, it might be fuzzy, it had all her information on it. She made it in 2007.

So....isn't it beautiful??

  3. I'm glad that the "ugly quilt" has a loving home in NC. I guess as they say, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" when it comes to ugly quilts. You are lucky.

  8. I rather like the heart quilt. Is there something wrong with it that I don't see in the picture? Next time you make TJ a quilt, maybe you should select the fabric and surprise him. LOL

  12. Wow, that's fantastic that Sue's quilt has found a new home. Is it as "stiff" as she said it was?
