More Buttons

I'm still creating resin buttons.

I've update the button page with my latest creations.

I made my own buttons.

oh my gosh, i made my own buttons.......

i must say, mixing the resin and color, i was disappointed and had planned to sell 

all my button making parts.

not anymore.......i'm loving it

the resin is clear and you add color

reading up on this before i started it all

i was really confused on the color and how to add it

one person suggested not using food coloring cause in some types of resin,

it don't mix well..........i tired it and had no problem

i used green in this batch

you have to be really careful with the smallest buttons, it's easy to pour to much and cover the button holes

 i don't know what's up with the yellow tinted background...ewww

anyway........here's my first batch.......their still soft, see last pic

 see how some are darker and thicker than others?

well, that's where i got happy pouring the resin

this is what they were like this evening, this is 24 hours after pouring

it takes 72 to create a solid hard button

How about these buttons?

you all know my love for buttons...

and i'm not sure how to deal with this

other than

to just keep buying buttons

however, my mom buys sunday school supplies

and i saw these buttons in there....

there is several hundred and they were less than $5.00

these are wood, and i love them

you know you do too

a few people wanted a tutorial on making the button bracelets

I don't anymore, but fear not, I've order more.

Remember my zipper obsession?  I still have it, don't worry.

However, now I've added buttons to it.

I had to use my DROID (love it) powered cell phone for this pictures, and I have to say, there not bad, colors are pretty true.  The sun kept coming in and out, so that may look a bit odd.

I'm finding myself becoming addicted to buttons. Guess the addiction could be worse huh?

I had less than 20 buttons when I started the "Tree Time BOM". I asked my mom if I could have half of her buttons. Well, she brought me all of hers. Then at the fabric store, they have bins and bins of buttons for $.02 each. We counted out 200 buttons. What's with this addiction? I don't know either, but I'm loving it.
