Send me your Capri Sun "pouches".

This seems to be fad crazy right now.  This is Capri Sun bag.  This bag would be a tote or beach bag.  I ran out of "pouches".  I tried to get TJ to drink some last night so I could finish the bag, I need to add the handles.  However, Evan is away for the weekend, so I'll have to wait for him to return and drink some.  haha

So, I want to ask for everyone's help.  I know these pouches are trash to some people.  However, I would like to have your trash.  If your child or grandchild drinks these, could you save them for me and send them my way.  They also have some from Kool-Aid, those will work as well.  They weigh next to nothing.  I'm even willing to pay for shipping.  I'd bet you could send a yellow envelope full for less than 2 bucks.  I'm going to link this to my sidebar so everyone can see it for awhile.  Please.......send me your trash!

  1. LOL....Thanks for visiting my blog. I started following yours since we're so close to one another. Sophia is not quite to Cari Sun age but if I happen upon any they'll be yours.

I plan on reading back in your blog awhile. I love your Spartan. I don't use a sewing machine but own a 185K and I just love old machines. So beautiful!

  3. Can't help you with that, as I don't drink them, but it is an interesting idea and sounds like fun!

  4. I used to make these bags like crazy. I'd have all of my friends save their pouches for me. Schools go through the pouches by the truckloads... LOL. There is a recycling program where they can earn .02 each pouch. Maybe you should talk to a local school, set up a trash can in their lunch room and you'll get all you need in no time at all.

  5. As the American Homemaker said, schools are great for this. I was making a bunch of these 3 or 4 years ago and happened to make on for the daughter of the principal of my granddaughters school. boy that was a mouthful. Anyway, after that she saved me a lot of them from the school. I quit making them till recently, when I made a large one for my stepmom. It is on my blog. Most of my supply is packed away somewhere so granddaughter had to drink a few more for the ones I need. If I find my stash I wi;ll let you know!

  6. I'll have to start saving. My son doesn't go through them quickly, but we always have some of these pouch drinks in the fridge.
