Obama came to our small town today.

Sorry about the darkness of the video, we were right in the sun.

No matter if you agree with him or not, this is by far the coolest thing I've seen in a long time.

  1. Was he just passing through? It is pretty cool. Bush used to come down here fishing and when he came in and left there would be about 20 helicopters taking off and landing. You'd never know which one he was in, but boy was it noisy.

  3. That IS cool! I would love to meet Obama, or hear him speak in person.

  4. It is sad that there is a need for such intense security. It's hard for regular people to get to see a president nowadays as they have to be so secretive about which vehicle he'll be in and all that kind of stuff. I'm glad you got to see the motorcade, though.

  5. Pretty cool being able to see the President! Bush came to our town when he was president..I stood 3 feet from him but wasn't able to get close enough to shake his hand. It was an awesome experience!!

  6. I would have loved to seen him. I did go to see Bill Clinton when he spoke at UNC-Chapel Hill. And I went to Clinton's second inauguration. Coldest I have EVER been in my life. But it was the experience of a lifetime. My sister Evelyn was with me, which made it better. I would like to go to another inauguration sometime. You feel so patriotic and you believe that you can make a difference, if only for that one day.

  7. I'm a fan, so I'd love to have seen Obama's motorcade! But really - any motorcade is amazing. Have you seen a motorcade for a fallen officer? AMAZING! It's sad when death is the reason for a motorcade, but they're sure impressive.

    :)
