(my button collection)
I'm finding myself becoming addicted to buttons. Guess the addiction could be worse huh?
I had less than 20 buttons when I started the "Tree Time BOM". I asked my mom if I could have half of her buttons. Well, she brought me all of hers. Then at the fabric store, they have bins and bins of buttons for $.02 each. We counted out 200 buttons. What's with this addiction? I don't know either, but I'm loving it.
Love your buttons! My mother had an old tin full of buttons, and I loved looking through them. When she died, my daughter chose that button box as her momento of her Nana.
ReplyDeleteI love them too, but it is so much fun to see my granddaughters come to sew and play with all of my buttons. They will spread them all over the floor and just look at them. I LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteI love buttons, too. They're so pretty to look at when they're stored in jars. They're fun to sort through and they're useful. My mum always had tins of buttons; I wonder if she still has them. Your collection is great! What a good deal!
ReplyDeleteWOW...I'd love to get myself into a store that sold buttons for 2 cents each!!! You are very lucky. I do have a few jars of buttons that I've collected mostly from yard sales. Did you see the next tree came out on Molly's blog?
ReplyDeletei have seen rings made of stacked buttons sewn to elastic. They are cute and fun. With the right buttons they can even be elegant. They also would make great napkin rings!
ReplyDeleteLove those buttons Tonya, I bought a bag of buttons off our market a while back, some are OK the rest were either broken or naff. Lucky you, these look nice and bright.
ReplyDeleteOff to look at the BOM
I love buttons too!!! When I can't make it out to the store to get them I buttonpie.com !
